Rather than relying on the current charging case, Samsung’s vision involves building a dedicated groove into future Galaxy smartphones. This slot would securely hold the Galaxy Ring and initiate wireless charging, making the entire experience far more integrated and convenient.

According to the patent, the smartphone would house typical components like a processor, memory, and battery, but it would also feature a newly engineered recessed area designed specifically for the ring.
