Samsung may soon bring two advanced AI notification tools from the Galaxy S26 lineup to the Galaxy S25 series through a future One UI 8.5 update. Fresh reports suggest the company is testing smarter notification management features designed to help users deal with crowded notification panels more efficiently.
The upcoming additions are reportedly called “Prioritise Notifications” and “Summarise Notifications.” Both features rely on Galaxy AI to organize and simplify alerts in a more intelligent way.
The Prioritise Notifications feature could automatically identify the most important alerts and place them at the top of the notification panel. Messages, reminders, or urgent app alerts may appear first, reducing the need to scroll through less relevant updates.
Meanwhile, Summarise Notifications is expected to condense long conversations or multiple alerts into short, easy-to-read summaries. This would be especially useful for busy group chats, lengthy message threads, or apps that send frequent notifications throughout the day.
These AI-powered tools first appeared with the Galaxy S26 series and were considered among the standout software features of Samsung’s newer flagship lineup. Now, it seems Samsung may expand availability to older premium devices instead of keeping them exclusive.
The Galaxy S25 series has already received several newer Galaxy AI improvements in recent updates, including enhanced editing features and smarter productivity tools. Bringing notification summarization and prioritization to the S25 lineup would continue Samsung’s strategy of extending major AI experiences across previous-generation flagship phones.
Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the rollout timeline, reports point toward a possible arrival through an upcoming One UI 8.5 software update. More details could surface in the coming weeks as testing progresses.
